Ghana’s Under-17 lads Black Starlets have qualified for the finals of the ongoing Under-17 African Cup in Gabon.

The highly competitive game ended in a draw after several chances of both teams went wasted during the ninety minutes of play.

The Starlets who have already qualified for this year’s under-17 World Cup beat their counterparts from Niger 6-5 on penalties to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Ghana will play the winner of the game between Mali and Guinnea on Sunday. The Black Starlets have had an impressive show at the ongoing tournament scoring nine goals in two matches.

Ghana was crowned world champions in 1995 and 1999, and have also finished runners-up on two occasions.
