Veteran Ghanaian Actor, Ekow Blankson Is Dead by Markito(m) : 9:36 pm

Although details about his death are sketchy, it's learnt that he died on the dawn of Monday, October 3, 2022.


Ekow Blankson is said to have visited the hospital because he was not feeling well but died later.

Prior to his death, he was the Commercial Manager for Ghana’s biggest online news platform, Ghana web where he led the sales team of the organization.


Ekow Blankson had in the past worked with brands like the Multimedia Group. TV Africa, Coca-Cola, Media General among others.

He featured in several movies including; Borga, Frozen Emotion, Savannah, In April, Checkmate, Illusions, A Woman Scorned, Pool Party, Famous and many others.


Ekow Blankson holds a Masters Degree in Fine Ms from the University of Ghana, Legon; a marketing certificate from Heineken University, Amsterdam; and a Diploma in Theatre Ms (Drama) from the University of Ghana, Legon. He also received years of training in various fields of marketing, sales, management and advertising. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG).



With a long career in acting, he was nominated for Best Actor at the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) and Best Supporting Actor nomination at the 2010 Ghana Movie Awards. He has directed and featured in several Ghanaian movies including Checkmate; Borga; In April; Black Earth Rising; Death After Birth and The Intruder among many others.
